NetZero to acquire Simpli.com

Published on .

NetZero, a free, ad-supported ISP, is acquiring privately held Simpli.com, an Internet search infrastructure company, in a stock and cash transaction. Under the terms of the deal, NetZero will issue approximately 2.5 million shares of its common stock and will pay approximately $2.6 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter. Simpli.com developed SimpliFind, technology that enables users to search the Internet based on concepts and context rather than solely using keywords. NetZero will incorporate SimpliFind into its zCast targeting technology and CyberTarget market
