Neuharth to leave forum

Former Gannett Co. CEO Allen Neuharth, 72, founder of USA Today, and John C. Quinn, 71, who was exec VP of Gannett Co., are retiring from their active industry posts as chairman and deputy chairman of the Freedom Forum, formerly the Gannett Foundation, which has been active in First Amendment/free press issues. The Forum promoted Charles Overby to chairman from president-CEO and named former USA Today Editor Peter Prichard as president. Mr. Prichard has been a VP.
