Ad space sold out for Gold Cup 2000
Radio Unica Communications Corp., exclusive Spanish-language radio network for the Gold Cup 2000, has sold out its network coverage. Top advertisers include General Motor Co.'s Chevrolet; Miller Brewing Co.; Western Union; American Honda Motor Co.; Allstate Insurance Co.; and Elsitio.com. The soccer tournament, hosted by sportscaster Jorge Ramos, includes 19 matches to be broadcast live, through Feb. 27, from Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego.
`N.Y.Times,' `La Prensa' offer joint promotion
The New York Times and El Diario La Prensa are available together on 500 city newsstands for 90 cents. The promotion package is backed by an out-of-home Spanish-language campaign. The tagline "Descubra su mundo en el nuestra" which literally translates to "Discover your world in ours," is meant to convey the Times' campaign theme, "Expect the world."
