Thornton May to the new post of corporate futurist and chief awareness officer, Guardent, Waltham, Mass., a digital-security services company launched earlier this year, from corporate futurist, Cambridge Technology Partners, Cambridge, Mass.

Mary Anne McGrory, 37, was named advertising director of Saveur, New York. Previously she was advertising director at Hearst Magazine's Victoria. The Saveur post is a new one.
