Ziff-Davis today announced that ZD Internet Magazine will be renamed Internet Computing, beginning with the March 1998 issue. The renaming is intended to reflect the San Francisco-based monthly's effort to expand editorial focus toward the growing reader interest in how the Internet affects enterprise-wide computing. Since the magazine's launch last December, it has attracted more than 300,000 paid readers.

Internet service provider Surfree.com unveiled a program that will reward users with a $2 discount off a monthly $17.95 charge for every subscriber they refer. When discounts exceed the $17.95 base monthly subscription rate, Surfree.com will pay the difference directly to the subscriber.
