Ad management software maker, Accipiter, announced that it has signed the Nando.net division of McClatchy Newspapers as a new client. Nando.net's network includes papers for The Sacramento Bee, The Anchorage Daily News, and The (Raleigh, N.C.) News & Observer.

MTV announced that its viewers will be able to interact with on-air programming in real time on a new part of their Web site called The Live Link. Viewers will be able to video conference, chat, and e-mail on-air hosts and special guests during MTV's show, MTV Live, which airs Monday through Friday from 6-7 p.m. (ET).

Shopperzone.com launched today with personalized technology it calls Shopper's Buddy, allowing users to tailor a search with preferences. Shopperzone.com includes retailers such as Federal Express Corp., Hallmark Cards, Harry & David, Mission Orchards and Pfaelzer Steaks.

Lycos launched new search tools Dec. 9, including the Lycos Community Guides Web directory. The Community Guides are organized into 22 different topics such as entertainment, fashion, home/garden, sports and travel. Community Guides have links to other Web sites which are ranked daily according to ratings by Lycos users in a particular community.

@Home Network unveiled a new look for its high-speed Internet service at the Western Cable Show. The redesigned interface includes a new How Do I section that puts help at one click and an aggregated search tool with Yahoo!, Excite and Infoseek in one place. A news video-on-demand service will be available by the yearend. @Home also announced a new feature that allows each subscriber to have up to three accounts, each with its own e-mail address.

MercurySeven and Hearst Entertainment have formed a joint venture to produce and market the B. Smith with Style Web site, tied to the new women's lifestyle TV show by the same name. The Web site is updated with the TV show content with cooking, home decor, gardening and self-improvement topics.
