The Gap has launched one of the biggest advertising efforts backing an e-commerce apparel site with a transit campaign tagged with six humorous words devised from on-line lingo such as Bootism and tagged ``Always Open.'' The campaign, developed in house, will run in 11 U.S. markets and includes shelf talkers in Gap stores promoting the online store.

Online research company PhoCusWright, Sherman, Conn., is preparing a report on the online travel industry, which will be available at the PhoCusWright Live98 conference in Phoenix, Ariz., on Nov. 2-4.

Job classifieds site JobOptions, Indianapolis, recently went live with job postings from more than 6,000 employers. The site also has tools enabling job seekers to network with potential employers online. The site replaces the company's E.span site.

Internet credit card NextCard launched NextCard GoShopping!, a shopping site for NextCard customers with search shopping tools to help users find online bargains and specialty products.
