Interactive agency Giant Step, Chicago, picked up several assignments from Procter & Gamble Co. Giant Step will handle strategic consulting and Web development for P&G brands such as Vidal Sassoon, Pert Plus and P&G's corporate site. Giant Step also recently picked up business for Motorola and Pella Corp.

Retail gift shop 911gifts.com relaunched on the Web and on America Online with more merchandise available. The shop calls itself a one-stop store and features gift wrapping and overnight delivery.

Theglobe.com's stock fell $14.75 to $48.75 on Nov. 16. The online community had a record initial public offering Nov. 13, opening at $9 a share and closing at $62.75.

Excite beefed up its e-commerce areas by adding reviews and recommendations from the Consumer Guide. Users will be able to read product reviews in 25 categories.
