MotherNature.com, a retail site for vitamins, supplements, minerals and herbs, completed a second round of financing worth almost $16 million. All together the company has raised $23 million in the last six months. Investors include Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Zero Stage Capital, BancBoston Ventures, North Castle Ventures and Blue Chip Ventures.
Excite will extend its brand into new sports marketing areas through marketing deals with Resort Sports Network, a resort information and entertainment company, and Marquee Alphabet City, a sports marketing organization. Excite's commercials will run in RSN programming on the RSN TV network. Conversely, RSN's skiing and resorts updates will appear on the Excite Sports Channel. Through Marquee Alphabet City, Excite will get promotional play in Major League Baseball, basketball, football and hockey arenas.
Digital Pulp, New York, will develop Web sites and online promotions for Amsterdam-based Adidas International. Digital Pulp's work for Adidas will debut on Adidas.com in February. ``We will try to pull current and prospective Adidas customers into the Web site to get them more involved with the brand,'' said Lee Nadler, Digital Pulp's president-CEO.
