ThingWorld.com, a Newton, Mass.-based, Web company that creates customized, branded digital content for companies, closed its third round of financing. The amount of the investment was not disclosed. Investors include Cyrk, Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp., and the NFL Quarterback Club, as well as Mitch Kapor, co-founder of Lotus Development Corporation. Previous investors have all increased their stakes in ThingWorld.com. They include BancBoston Capital; @Ventures, the affiliated venture capital arm of CMGI; and the Kraft Group.
Barnesandnoble.com, New York, named Patricia G. Campbell VP-interactive direct marketing. Ms. Campbell was formerly senior VP at Advanta Corp., a financial services company based in Spring House, Pa.
Yahoo! Germany, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, linked with Germany's second largest telecommunications service provider Mannesmann Arcor, to offer Yahoo! Online access. Starting in May, Yahoo! Online service will be offered through Yahoo! Germany.
