Sega of America's newly launched subsidiary, San Francisco, has named Freestyle Interactive and Lot21 to help launch SegaNet, a new online gaming community debuting next month. The interactive agencies will create viral marketing, online promotions and other forms of digital marketing. Sega of America will spend nearly $150 million on marketing this year. Billings for the two new agencies weren't disclosed. promoted Paul Case to chief financial officer from VP-operations. Mr. Case succeeds David Jacobson, who was named exec VP-mergers and acquisitions at the company.

Interactive shop Modem Media named Peter Moritz managing director of its San Francisco office. Mr. Moritz previously served as VP-business development at Modem.
