Galavision, Univision Communications' cable network, has signed new advertisers Sara Lee Corp.'s Ball Park Franks, Kellogg Co. and Nintendo of America for the fall season, said Luci Ballas-Traynor, VP-general manager. Traditional advertisers such as Toys "R" Us have made substantial across-the-board increases, she said, and as much as 80% of the inventory was sold out by the end of its upfront event. Galavision plans to launch an out-of-home campaign this fall via Latino Media Source, New York.
Pepsi breaks new spot featuring pop artist Sisqo
Pepsi-Cola Co. features pop/rhythm and blues artist Sisqo in a new TV, print and radio advertising for Pepsi. UniWorld Group, New York, handles.TV airs on ABC, BET, NBC and MTV. Print ads will appear in September issues of Source, Vibe and XXL.
`Source' sponsors Bulldogs
The Source is the primary sponsor for Bulldog Bikes' Bulldog Urban Biking Squad. Bulldog Bikes, which makes BMX bike frames and racing apparel, plans to launch a line of BMX and mountain bikes within the next year.
Absolut runs animated ads
Absolut, in an extension of its general marketing effort, is running 12 random animated vignettes on StarMedia Networks. For example, Citron features a lemon rolling across the screen. When the lemon stops, it breaks open and a bottle of Absolut Citron breaks out. JMD Advertising, San Juan, Puerto Rico, created the effort.
