Newton falls to TBWA

Apple Computer, Cupertino, Calif., moved advertising for its Newton line to Apple agency TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., from Stone Yamashita, San Francisco. That boutique shop had picked up the Newton asssignment over the summer, when Apple decided to set up the personal communicator operation as an autonomous unit. Interim Apple CEO Steve Jobs since then decided to bring Newton back inside Apple. Spending is to be determined.
