Published on .

NFL Properties, New York, said Senior VP-Consumer Products Jim Connelly resigned his post at the marketing arm of the National Football League. During his 16-year tenure, the NFL's licensing business developed into the biggest and most influential among all pro sports. No reason was given for the departure. Mr. Connelly is said to be a candidate for a top marketing post at the National Hockey League. Sports marketing executives also say Mr. Connelly is a possible contender to replace Bob Gamgort as the president of Major League Baseball Properties. Mr. Connelly, the NHL and MLB didn't return calls at deadline.
