Nickelodeon beefs up Argentine operation

MIAMI -- Nickelodeon is expanding its regional office in Buenos Aires with two new recruits. Ariana Fernandez joins as marketing manager for the southern zone and Paula Guerra is hired as manager of advertising sales for the channel in Argen tina. The new additions bring the number of staff in the Buenos Aires office to nine.

Most recently, Ms. Fernandez worked for Cablevision-TC1 in Buenos Aires as promo tions and advertising manager, where, among other things, she was responsible for the development of El Club Infantil, the cable operator's kids club.

Ms. Guerra was previously sales manager at Intermedios, a media agency representing satellite signals, and has also worked in the media department at Ogilvy & Mather.

Nickelodeon Latin America, the 24-hour network based in Miami and transmitted in Spanish, Portuguese and English to 5.5 mil lion multichannel households in the region, is a programming service of Viacom Inter national Inc.
