Nickelodeon names Scannell

Herb Scannell has been named president of Nickelodeon, succeeding Gerry Laybourne, who previously left the cable network to go to ABC/Disney. Mr. Scannell moves up from exec VP, Nickelodeon Network and U.S. Television. The company also named Jeff Dunn to the newly created post of chief operating officer for the kids network, from exec VP-strategy and business development.
