Nielsen says a TV rating point worth 1.008 million homes for 1999-2000 TV season

Nielsen Media Research, New York, estimates the total number of U.S. TV households has broken the 100 million mark for the first time. The new number, 100,800,000, becomes effective with TV measurement starting the week of Aug. 30. Thus each national rating point will represent 1,008,000 TV households.
