ACNielsen and ASI Market Research this week launched NET*VIEWS'96 as a product that lets marketers evaluate the strength of the Internet as a marketing venue for package goods and other product categories..

ACNielsen mailed a survey to 20,000 U.S. households measured in its Homescan consumer panel group to poll them on Web access and behavior. Categories considered prime for Internet marketing include electronics, records and tapes; disposable diapers; yogurt; shaving products; wine; charcoal and logs; breakfast foods; deli foods; photo supplies; and ethnic health and beauty aids..
