Nielsen eyes product, ratings linkup

A.C. Nielsen Corp. will announce in two weeks a "strategic alliance" with a modeling company such ASI Market Research, Stamford, Conn., or Media Marketing Assessment, Wilton, Conn., to create a closer marketing relationship between the supermarket measurement service and the Nielsen TV ratings service to link ratings to product sales.
