Nielsen/NetRatings: Shoppers wrapping up online purchases

Online measurement service Nielsen/NetRatings Dec. 22 announced its Holiday E-Commerce Index declined 3.8% for the week ended Dec. 19, suggesting that online shoppers are wrapping up their online purchases. Nielsen said Dec. 12 was the busiest holiday shopping day to date. It found audience traffic to e-commerce sites spiked after Halloween and grew steadily through November, peaking Dec. 12.
