Nielsen to track TV viewing on PCs

Nielsen Media Research Feb. 4 unveiled a new tracking system, designed to work with Microsoft Corp.'s Windows 98 software, which enables Nielsen to measure in its sample homes whether a person is computing or watching TV and what Web sites they go to; Nielsen is also working with Intel Corp., Sun Microsystems, cable operators and others for similar software.
