Nike to combat school truancy

Published on .

Nike says it will release Air Jordan products on non-school days from now on. Reason: "to address reports of truancy surrounding past retail debuts of the Michael Jordan signature shoe," according to a Nike spokesman. The move will most immediately affect the release of the third color of the Air Jordan 13 shoe. Set to launch March 25, the shoes will now be available Saturday, March 28. Nike says the decision is based on the desires of Mr. Jordan.
