Nike hired Ian Todd, a prominent executive from the international sports marketing agency ranks, to head its global sports marketing activities. Mr. Todd was recruited from International Management Group, where he was senior exec VP-managing director responsible for the agency's operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He will join Nike June 1 and hold the new title of VP-global sports marketing. Mr. Todd will report to Thomas Clarke, Nike president-chief operating officer. Mr. Todd will also oversee Nike Sports & Entertainment, the company's in-house sports and event marketing unit. Rudy Chapa, currently diretcor of sports marketing, has been promoted to VP-sports marketing.
