Nissan hires black agency

Nissan Motor Corp. USA, Carson, Calif., named Carol H. Williams Advertising, Oakland, as its first agency to target the African-American market. A multimillion-dollar radio, newspaper and magazine campaign will start in July. The agency this year will handle creative, with media bought by general market agency TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice; Williams adds media next year.
