DALLAS-Advertising consultancy NK Alliance has formed a new division dedicated to recruiting minorities for executive positions in the industry.

"The time is right for somebody to take on minority hiring," said Chairman Gloria Kane. Advertising, public relations and marketing professionals are being sought for agencies and in-house departments throughout the U.S.

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics figures show there were 496,000 midlevel marketing professionals in the U.S. in 1994. Only 31.2% were women, 4.1% African-American and 3.5% Hispanic.

Ms. Kane said NK is the first agency to create a division focused on any kind of recruitment efforts. It is located at 3141 Hood St., Suite 618, 75219. Phone: (214) 522-6094.
