Nortel breaks $90 mil push

Published on .

Nortel Networks, Toronto, on March 12 unveils an estimated $60 million to $90 million global brand campaign, planting an image for the networking rival of Cisco Systems and Lucent Technologies. Nortel starts with a quirky TV spot featuring a CEO who mouths the words of the Beatles' "Come Together" in a speech to a global audience watching over the Web, TV, videophones and other Nortel-networked devices. This is the first ad work since Nortel in December consolidated at Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, and the Bozell global network.
