Nortel breaks new TV ads

Nortel Networks, Brampton, Ontario, tonight breaks a new TV spot on CNN highlighting its strength in facilitating customer interactions for e-business. The commercial is the first of three new creative executions by Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, for the Internet networking giant. The new series of ads marks the third phase of Nortel's "What do you want the Internet to be?'' campaign that kicked off last year. The initial 30-second spot and 60-second spot feature Frank 4.0, a quirky character who shows how Nortel combines Internet products and services to deliver the best sales, service and marketing tools for e-business. The next spot, debuting in September, will flag Nortel solutions in the optical and wireless arena, said Milan Bekich, VP-global advertising. Nortel also will launch a new interactive marketing effort in September via Grey Interactive, New York.
