Nursing journal sold

Lippincott-Raven Publishers, Philadelphia, a health science publisher, will purchase the American Journal of Nursing from the American Nurses Association, Washington. LRP will acquire the American Journal of Nursing, The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing, Nursing Research and the company's Educational Services division. The purchase price was not disclosed. In conjunction with the sale, LRP will provide a subscription of AJN to every state nurses association member, boosting its 250,000 circulation approximately 50%.
