NY Times in pact with Murdoch

The New York Times identified Murdoch Magazines Distribution as its partner in a multi-year circulation and retail marketing agreement to build circulation for its national edition, which now accounts for about 400,000 of its total paid circulation. The Times had earlier disclosed it had signed a pact with an unnamed distribution company. The Murdoch Magazines agreement is designed to give the Times' national edition heightened presence in convenience stores and other outlets beyond major metro areas and transportation hubs.
