The New York Times and Scholastic Inc., New York, next month will debut The New York Times Upfront, an ad-supported news magazine targeting teens. Articles in the magazine will be culled primarily from the pages of The New York Times
, but also will include original material. Starting in September, the magazine will be published every two weeks, with online updates, throughout the school year, for a total of 18 issues. Target circulation for next year is 300,000. The magazine will replace Scholastic Update
, itself a relaunch of Senior Scholastic
