O&M launches e-business unit in Brazil

SAO PAULO--Ogilvy Interactive, part of the Ogilvy Group, is creating a business unit focusing on e-commerce in Brazil. The unit will handle planning, development and advertising for the burgeoning number of dot-com companies.

The unit will be responsible for almost a third of the agency's billings,which should reach $8.5 million this year.

Ogilvy Interactive is one of the country's leading digital media buyers. Companies selling products and services on the Internet have reached $300 million so far this year.
