O&M Prague opens account planning department

Published on .

PRAGUE--Ogilvy & Mather has opened an account planning department in the Czech Republic. O&M Prague Managing Director John Goodman says the department is designed to ensure an understanding of consumer attitudes and reactions at each stage of advertising development.

The department will be headed by Marie Bebrova, a veteran of Douwe Egberts marketing department and AMER Nielsen Research in Prague. Bebrova is the "consumer representative" in the agency, Goodman says. "We feel that a lot of advertising in this country is either self-indulgent or driven by imported formulas. The relationship of the Czech consumer with advertising and branded goods is changing rapidly."
