That so-called heritage artists like Peter Frampton are still dominating the concert scene baffles many critics, including Jim Derogatis of the Chicago Sun-Times. In an Aug. 10 feature on "Geezer Rock" he said, "geezerdom is a sin based on championing nostalgia-admitting that your most creative days are far behind you."

He separated the touring acts into categories ranging from "geezers who still matter," to "geezers who never mattered and are now less relevant and more offensive than ever." Among those he said still
