Olds wets feet with CD-ROM, Web site

General Motors Corp.'s Oldsmobile launches its first CD-ROM product guide this month with ads in PC Computing, Byte, Money, Fortune, Forbes and Business Week. The disc, created entirely in-house by Giant Step, Leo Burnett Co.'s interactive subsidiary, features extensive competitive information on other automakers' brands as well as a U.S. street guide. An Oldsmobile Web site, also from Giant Step, opens next month.
