Oldsmobile above par with Ryder Cup effort

Oldsmobile is teeing up its broadest integrated marketing effort ever, built around the Ryder Cup competition Sept. 22-24 at the Oak Hill Golf Club in Rochester, N.Y. The General Motors Corp. unit's involvement will include TV, print, a sweepstakes, direct marketing, point-of-sale, on-site vehicle displays and hospitality, public relations and an interactive component on America Online. Leo Burnett USA, Chicago, is creating the advertising, themed "For pride and country."
