Olympic tie

Nike, Beaverton, Ore. is said to have held preliminary discussions with the organizers of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City about a possible marketing relationship. While neither Nike nor organizers would comment, U.S. Olympic Committee Deputy Secretary General John Krimsky Jr. said he was optimistic about forming a more complementary relationship with Nike, which usually capitalizes on Olympic hype with guerrilla marketing tactics.
