OMD opens doors in Singapore

SINGAPORE--Omnicom Group's Optimum Media Direction has officially opened its Singapore office following a merger of the media departments of fellow Omnicom agencies DDB, BBDO and TBWA. Key clients in Singapore include Sony, Oral B, Reemtsma, Pizza Hut and M1, a mobile phone service provider.

The media planning and buying agency is staffed with senior members of each agency under the direction of Kate Stephenson, the managing director of OMD in Southeast Asia, who came to OMD from Carat Asia Pacific in Hong Kong.

OMD operates another regional center in Hong Kong and will open offices in Shang-hai and Taiwan later in January, according to OMD Asia Pacific CEO Mike Cooper in Hong Kong.
