Michael Cooper -- ABN's executive director of sales, marketing and distribution -- will start with Omnicom in early November. The unit that Cooper will set up will initially concentrate on Hong Kong and China, with responsibility for media buying and planning for all three of Omnicom's ad agency networks.
One year ago in Europe, DDB and BBDO announced the merger of their media services into Optimum Media Direction. Omnicom also rebranded its U.S. media unit Optimum Media.
