Omnicom pays $13.5 million for Eagle River

Omnicom Group purchased Eagle River Interactive Development Group for $13.5 million, and additional fees based on the company's future earnings.

Eagle River announced it was selling its agency division in July to focus on its computer training business subsidiary Mastering Computers. There are about 175 employees in the Interactive Development Group, which has seven U.S. offices and one in Paris. The division had revenues of $9.3 million for the first two quarters of 1997.
