Omnicom up in quarter

Omnicom Group, New York, reported a 27% increase in net income for the third quarter, to $23.7 million. Worldwide revenue jumped 18% to $537.7 million. Domestic revenue increased 14% to $272.3 million. Results for both 1995 and 1994 were restated to include the acquisitions of Chiat/Day Holdings and Ross Roy Communications, which were completed during the quarter. Omnicom's other agencies include BBDO Worldwide and DDB Needham Worldwide.
