Omnicom readies OMD for U.S.

Omnicom Group is finalizing plans to bring its worldwide media brand, Optimum Media Direction, to the U.S. One plan under consideration would combine the U.S. media services--except media planning--of BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide and TBWA/Chiat/Day into a single OMD brand; Creative Media would be separate for potential conflict purposes. Possible OMD scenarios in the U.S. were first reported by Advertising Age in February.
