Most online consumers tap the Web for travel info

Some 87% of online consumers use their computers to find travel destination information, and 84% have visited travel Web sites, according to a survey conducted by BBDO TechSetter Hotline, a Web site maintained by BBDO Worldwide, New York.

Also in the study: The largest portion (41%) of respondents plan on spending between $800 and $3,000 on travel this summer. Four of five people do most of their traveling domestically, and 83% report their primary travel to be personal.
