Online privacy coalition launches campaign to inform consumers

NetCoalition.com, the collective public policy voice for nine of the world's leading Internet companies, today announced a Consumer Privacy Education Campaign, including print and online, designed to empower Internet users with practical information about online privacy. Communications Co., Washington, created the public relations and advertising campaign, which will include public service announcements and online promotions directing users to privacy resources and information. NetCoalition.com is a public policy organization of members whose primary business is Internet-based. Founding members include Yahoo!, TheGlobe.com, Lycos, Inktomi, Excite@Home, eBay, DoubleClick, America Online and Amazon.com.
