Online sales house 24/7 names U.K. head

LONDON--The international online advertising sales representative company 24/7 Europe has appointed former Internet consultant Tanya Pein as managing director 24/7 U.K. As head of the U.K. subsidiary, Ms. Pein will be responsible for directing and stepping up the expansion of its operations here.

Ms. Pein, who ran her own consultancy business advising European companies on Internet strategy, marketing and development, was previously responsible for setting up and establishing Bertelsmann's Books Online (BOL) in the U.K. She also played a central role in development of the global strategy for BOL and ran Bertelsmann's direct marketing businesses in 11 countries, with sales of some $27 million.
