(April 19, 2001) -- Several technology industry leaders announced today that they have formed the Internet Security Alliance, a coalition that "aims to enhance the information security of member companies and, ultimately, the greater Internet community." The group is a collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute and its CERT Coordination Center, and the Electronic Industries Alliance, a federation of trade associations. -- Adrienne Mand
