Online shopping to hit $12 billion mark, Jupiter predicts

Consumers are expected to continue shifting their holiday shopping budgets online, with online merchants raking in up to $12 billion in the Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 holiday period, according to Jupiter Communications. That is a 66% increase over the $7 billion in online retail sales last year.
