Online shopping nearly triple in Australia

Australia's use of online shopping hasalmost tripled in less than a year, according to RoyMorgan Research. A new survey indicates 2.2% ofall consumers over 14 years, or 331,000 people,bought goods on the Internet during the last threemonths of 1997. Those aged between 35 and 49 werethe largest proportion (3.8%) followed by 18 to24-year-olds (at 3%).
