Opening day for baseball ads

Major League Baseball today, Opening Day of its 1997 season, launches its "What a Game" advertising campaign. The ads, created by Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York, will air on network and cable TV and radio. Leo Burnett USA, Chicago, also gets into the baseball spirit, breaking an ad tonight on ESPN featuring Baltimore Oriole infielder Cal Ripken in a new True Value campaign. Additional True Value ads will run on network and spot TV.
