OpenTV joins ACTV, Motorola in interactive digital TV advertising expansion

OpenTV agreed to join with ACTV's Digital ADCO subsidiary and Motorola to roll out distribution of Digital ADCO's SpotOn service, a software package that delivers and keeps track of targeted interactive advertising via digital cable, satellite and broadcast TV. Under the new subsidiary called Digital ADCO International, the companies plan to make available the advertising system to digital set-top boxes worldwide. The SpotOn service allows viewers to choose and interact with TV commercials.
