Opinions on Web ads are split

Based on new research from Inteco Corp., 53% of Web users agree that Web advertising is needed to keep content cost-free, while 11% disagree and 36% had no opinion. In other results, based on telephone interviews of 2,500 U.S. households, 50% of Web users agree targeted ads are fine if no names and addresses are given out, while 18% disagree and 32% had no opinion. Also, 43% of Web users said Web ads are less obtrusive than direct mail, while 23% disagree and 34% had no opinion.
